My background in visual art has strongly influences the way I work, often exploring ideas through visual poetry rather than narrative, although I write a lot and recently have been looking at ways of weaving my words and voice into movement and movement into words. I have a degree in fine art painting where I focussed on time based media, created live art performance, collaborative and process based work inspired by happenings and feminist artists in the 1970’s. I went on to create life art performance work in underground venues around London including Area 10 in Peckham.
I then trained at Circommedia in circus and physical theatre where I realised my love of dance and clown. I have been exploring dance ever since with a particular focus on training in contact improvisation which I now teach see http://contactdance.co.uk/
Previous projects and collaborations have included:A38 improvised movement collective, Noel Perkins residency, movement impro with Natasha Fewings at IDST Catnap, movement impro with Fleur Darkin Ensemble in DISGO, character work and audience intereraction with The Wonder Club in The Lamentable Tragedy, Ariel dance and movement performance at Carneyville, Stilt dancer in Insight directed by Judith Jarvis from http://www.gyroscopic.org/

Massive Owl
Massive Owl are a Bristol based theatre company made up of three artistic leads, Adrian Spring, Danny Prosser and Sam Powell. They also collaborate with three associate artists, Harriet Quinn, Katharina Walsh and Jack Jago.
Massive Owl formed while studying at Dartington College of Arts/University College Falmouth in 2009. They devise performance that explores fractured and multi-layered narratives, cinematic imagery, physical exertion, endurance and task based processes. Material often stems from explorations into real sites and places through kinaesthetic investigation, task-based responses and improvisations. The company then translates the essence of these spaces and the process of interacting with them through movement, text and abstracted imagery. In performance, collaboration is fastened with the audience by making their imagination essential to the transmission of the material.
Their first performance 4 Bar and Rising was selected for the National Student Drama Festival 2010 and won the Judge’s Award for Devised Theatre. Their performance The “See You Later” Capital was nominated for NEU\NOW Festival 2011, in Estonia and furthermore was selected for the festival’s online showcase.
