How to achieve redemption as a Scot through the medium of Braveheart

Hello everyone, happy Sunday.

I’m going to be in the Attic this week re-working a performance lecture I made about a year ago which is about Braveheart and football hooliganism and Scottish Nationalism, as I have a gig performing it in a pub in Winchester on Friday (and have managed to misplace the notebook it was originally written in!).

I’m going to do a run-through on Wednesday 23rd at 5pm in the Attic and I’d love some feedback, if anyone is available. Especially if you have never seen Braveheart, or don’t know much about Scotland. I’m slightly worried that there are references that worked when I performed it in Glasgow but that people further south won’t get…

Please let me know if you’ll be around and would like to pop in. It’s about half an hour/40 mins, and then we can go look in the window at the Parlour Showrooms.

Thanks for all being so welcoming to me, it’s bloody lovely to be here.

Open training and research mornings

Hi Interval members! During January I will be doing some open training sessions in the interval rehearsal space, I will be using this time to practice and develop my bodywork and devising methods.

If you are interested in contributing to this development of ideas and physical training please feel free to come along- I will be maining working on developing key areas: physical quality and presence,  spontaneous reaction to imagination and translation to audience. I like to work with a specific research experiments- so that I can see a  clear outcome – join my experiment as another gineau pig or come with a clear intention of something you would like add.

City Running this Friday

Hello everyone,

I am part of City Running this Friday evening: http://www.mayk.org.uk/portfolio/city-running-bristol-call-for-participants/

“On the night of Friday 30 November 2012, 30 artists from all disciplines will set out to rediscover a neglected part of the city they call home. Taking in shiny new office blocks, Victorian industrial heritage, nightclubs, waterways, hidden alleyways and a major train station, City Running asks artists and audiences the question: how do we experience our city?”

I takes place from 9pm till late at The Invisible Circus’ Jackdaw Hall at Paintworks and it free but you have to book a ticket here: http://cityrunning.eventbrite.com/

I think it will be a really interesting night, I don’t really know what to expect!! So come along. It starts at 9pm so you can go to Hannah’s sharing and still make it!

New website

Hi everyone, this is our temporary website which we can use till www.interval-bristol.org.uk is ready to use again. This can be the online space where we share any events that are coming up with the public and each other. It also has a permanent place where each member of interval can have some information about themselves and a link to their website.
